Dear Bremen Library Patrons,

The library schedule is going to make a small change. Beginning October 7, we are switching our open evening to Wednesday rather than Thursday. Our updated hours will be Wednesday 10-7; Thursday 10-5; Friday 10-3; and Saturday 9-12. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the decision was made in an effort to alleviate conflicts with local government meetings, which are generally on Thursday evenings.

Did you know that there are National Digital Equity Center classes that you can access from home? There are some basic classes that are free for all Mainers, and even more available for Lincoln County residents! Classes are taught over Zoom, from the comfort of your own home, and most of them have on-demand recordings as well. You can stop by the library for a list of the classes, and learn how to access them.

Congratulations to all our Fall Raffle Winners! I hope you all enjoy your prizes. The library appreciates your participation and support!

The holiday wreath sale will be upon us before you know it! Granted, it’s not until November, but the way time is flying by, it will sneak right up on you! More details to follow as soon as our dates are confirmed.

Kid News:

The library is excited to be collaborating with Healthy Kids in Damariscotta to host a visit of their new traveling playgroup. The first session was Oct 1. We will be scheduling another one soon! No registration will be required. Free and open to all!

Our next “First Friday” monthly mixed ages storytime on Friday, November 6 starting at 10:30 with stories and songs, followed by free play and socialization for the kids and their caregivers.

And the final item in Kid News: the Library will be having a Halloween Party on Saturday, October 31 at 10 am! We will have some games and crafts, some snacks and music, and costumes are welcome! Free and open to all.

Stay safe and be well!
